Between Urbanisation and Conservation: An Edinburgh Perspective
Length of Project: 5 months
Started: October 2019
I am currently working on a photography project that aims to show the relationship and tension between the development of the City of Edinburgh and conservation of its buildings, identity and green spaces. This project is supported by a grant from the National Lottery provided through Creative Scotland.
The aims of the project are:
to demonstrate how the growth and modernisation of Edinburgh has affected the city’s landscape over time. Edinburgh has a unique blend of modern and antique buildings and green spaces that provide a unique canvas to showcase development of the City throughout the ages, but also the issues this creates.
To be educational by recording and making available on Youtube the creative process and inspiration behind my pictures to share with others.
A free walking tour will also be organised as part of the project - book your tickets here.
All feedback and comments are greatly appreciated! You can also follow the progress of the project with regular updates on Faceook and Instagram
